As a distributor of the Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Molson Breweries, U.S.A., Inc., Dribeck Importers, Inc., and Guinness Import Company beers, Petitpren Inc. is committed to providing the finest quality of products to its customers.

A family owned and operated business, Petitpren Inc. was founded in 1933 by Frank E. Petitpren following the end of Prohibition. Frank Petitpren originally worked out of a six-car garage on Broadway at the Clinton River before moving to a location on Market and then to a warehouse located on Second Street in Mount Clemens. The company employed three people including Frank's sons, Stan and Fran. Beer in that era was delivered in wooden cases from the back seat of the family car. At that time, the company distributed Cream Top, Ballantyne Ale', Fox Deluxe and Oldbru Beers.

In 1946, Frank Petitpren passed away and was succeeded by his son, Stan, as President of the company. Francis Petitpren assisted in the operation of the family business until he retired in 1979. Stan's son, Dean S. Petitpren, joined the company in 1960. In 1983, Dean succeeded Stan as President of the company and Stan became Chairman of the Board.

Under the leadership of Dean, Petitpren Inc. has experienced dramatic growth. Today, Petitpren Inc. services over 1,350 revelers in the Macomb County and Hamtramck areas. Including the import beer segment, Petitpren Inc.'s market share represents approximately 65% of Macomb County beer sales. In 1996 the company achieved record sales of over 4.7 million cases of beer. The company now employs over 180 people.

Petitpren Inc. has gone through many changes since 1933. Brad D. Petitpren, Dean Petitpren's son, has joined the company and represents the fourth generation of' the family involved in the business.
